The distribution of electricity at Wilton International is carried out via one of the largest privately owned transmission systems in the world.
The Sembcorp site contains more than 400 miles of electrical cable supplying power to customers and the National Grid. Wilton Power Station can supply to or take power from the National Grid via four 275kV to 66kV Grid-owned transformers.
As well as electricity, Sembcorp supplies customers with millions of tonnes of steam each year. The steam is distributed at different pressures through a comprehensive network of pipelines.
